All VividGro® LED grow lights come with 5-years of FREE maintenance (3-years on the VividGro® V1 fixture). Many of our customers are making the switch from High Pressure Sodium (HPS) to VividGro® simply because of the high cost of maintenance associated with HPS. The VividGro® LED grow lights have cooling fins located on the top of the fixture. Our grow lights have no moving parts and produce a very small amount of heat. Results From Our VividGro® Trials
Prior to testing the LED lamp, this grow operation was using High Pressure Sodium (HPS) and Metal Halide (MH) lamps. Heat reduction is a constant issue, along with the consequent plant stress created. The HPS and MH lamps are extremely energy inefficient and the resulting energy bills put pressure on the company in between harvests. Results of this test with MUSA strain showed a 27% increase in finished product yield, 47% less energy consumed and a 48% increase in conversion efficiency from electrical power to finished product. High density and formation of buds all the way to the bottom of the plant was a result of the efficient, optimal grow light penetration.
This successful medical grow operation was using 1000W HPS light fixtures and wanted to create a more energy efficient business as well as a more pleasant working environment. They tested HPS vs the VividGro side by side with excellent results. They were particularly concerned with CBD levels for this test. The flowers are gigantic. We have completed the trimming on the LED side and very impressed with how dense the actual flowers are. They are covered in crystals and every bud was large. We have never had a grow where the lower buds were comparable to the upper buds.
